mean(x, trim = 0, ..., range = NULL)

`x`	a ff vector
`trim`	percentage of robustness, between 0 and 1
`...`	other arguments passed to `mean`
`range`	a `ri` or an `integer` vector of `length==2` giving a range restriction for chunked processing
