Write SpatVector data to a file


Description

Write a SpatVector to a file. You can choose one of many file formats.

Usage

## S4 method for signature 'SpatVector,character'
writeVector(x, filename, filetype="ESRI Shapefile", overwrite=FALSE)

Arguments

x

SpatVector

filename

character. Output filename

filetype

character. A file format associated with a GDAL "driver". See gdal(drivers=TRUE)

overwrite

logical. If TRUE, filename is overwritten

crs(v) <- "+proj=longlat +datum=WGS84"
v$id <- 1:length(v)
v$name <- letters[1:length(v)]
tmpf1 <- tempfile()
writeVector(v, tmpf1)
